This template attempts to superimpose an invisible link on an image. It doesn't work in [[wikipedia:Safari (web browser)|Safari]], in text-only browsers, and in screen readers for the disabled, and possibly other situations. The technique of using [[wikipedia:CSS|CSS]] to change page content also completely breaks an article's [[wikipedia:web accessibility|web accessibility]] by contravening a [[wikipedia:WAI|WAI]] priority-one checkpoint.[http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/#tech-order-style-sheets] Please try to avoid using this template unless absolutely necessary.

This template can also be used to produce images that are not clickable, by using as the link parameter:

The cursor can also be changed to appear normal when over the image by using styles
